SHIPPING SERVICE

We fulfil orders from the United Kingdom or Australia, depending on stock location, destination, and operational circumstances.

Orders sent within Australia and to New Zealand are generally dispatched from Australia using Australia Post.

Orders sent to the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe, and most other international destinations are generally dispatched from our UK fulfilment partner. For lighter parcels, we typically use Royal Mail. For heavier parcels, we typically use DHL.

In some cases, we may use a different fulfilment location, carrier, or service if required by stock availability, destination, weight, operational issues, or service disruptions.

Some services require a signature on delivery, while others may be delivered according to the local carrier’s standard procedures.

ORDER PROCESSING TIMES

In-stock items are usually dispatched within 1–3 business days of an order being placed.

During particularly busy periods, new releases, promotions, or other exceptional circumstances, dispatch may take a little longer. If there is a significant delay, we will do our best to keep customers informed.

PRE-ORDERS

For pre-orders, please refer to the relevant product page for the current estimated shipping window.

If a pre-order is delayed, we may provide updates by email, on the product page, or through our newsletter. Shortly before dispatch, we may contact customers to confirm their delivery address.

If a pre-order is placed together with an in-stock item, the order may be held until all items are ready to ship, unless otherwise stated on the product page or agreed separately.

SHIPPING DESTINATIONS AND DELIVERY ADDRESSES

Shipping availability and shipping charges are calculated at checkout.

We ship to most countries worldwide, subject to carrier availability, operational constraints, and any legal or sanctions-related restrictions.

Some shipping services cannot deliver to PO Boxes, parcel lockers, military addresses, or certain remote locations. If the address provided is not compatible with the available shipping method, we may contact you to request an alternative address.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address entered at checkout is accurate and complete.

DISPATCH ORIGIN AND FULFILMENT LOCATIONS

Orders may be dispatched from different fulfilment locations depending on stock availability, destination, and current shipping arrangements.

In some cases, replacement copies or later shipments relating to the same order may be sent from a different location than the original parcel.

Where operationally necessary, we may also change the carrier or route used for a shipment without prior notice.

CUSTOMS DUTIES, TAXES, AND IMPORT CHARGES

Customs duties, taxes, import processing fees, and related charges vary by destination and by shipping route.

For orders sent to the United States, we currently use duties-paid shipping services. Books are generally exempt from tariffs, and where customs documentation has been completed correctly, we would not normally expect any additional import charges to be payable by the recipient.

However, customs authorities and local delivery offices may occasionally apply charges, processing fees, or other requirements outside our control. Where this happens despite the shipment having been sent using the appropriate duties-paid service and with correctly completed documentation, Kings Langley Press cannot be responsible for such charges.

For destinations other than the United States, where duties or taxes are not prepaid as part of the shipping arrangement, the recipient is responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or other import-related charges imposed by the destination country.

Kings Langley Press is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance procedures or for charges imposed by customs authorities or local carriers.

TRACKING

A tracking number will be provided once your order has been dispatched.

Customers are responsible for monitoring the progress of their parcel using the tracking number provided.

Tracking quality can vary by destination and by carrier. In some countries, tracking may become less detailed once the parcel has been handed to a local delivery partner.

Please note that tracking scans are generated by the carrier and are outside our control.

DELIVERY ESTIMATES

Any delivery times shown on our website, at checkout, or in dispatch emails are estimates only.

Actual delivery times may be affected by customs processing, local carrier delays, weather events, peak-season congestion, industrial action, service interruptions, regulatory changes, or other factors beyond our control.

SERVICE DISRUPTIONS AND ROUTE CHANGES

From time to time, shipping routes, dispatch locations, customs handling, and carrier options may need to be changed due to operational issues, regulatory changes, or disruptions affecting particular countries or services.

Where this happens, we will do our best to choose the most suitable alternative available, but delivery times and shipping arrangements may differ from those originally expected.

MISSING OR DELAYED PARCELS

If your parcel appears to be delayed, stuck in transit, or otherwise affected by a delivery issue, please contact us immediately.

Customers are responsible for monitoring their parcel using the tracking number provided and for notifying us promptly if there appears to be a problem.

As a general rule, we ask customers to report missing or seriously delayed parcels no later than 60 days after dispatch. After that point, carrier investigations, compensation claims, and recovery options may become limited or unavailable.

If tracking shows that a parcel has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please first check with other household members, neighbours, building management, or the local delivery depot before contacting us.

DAMAGED PARCELS

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 5 business days of delivery.

To help us assess the issue and, where relevant, raise it with the carrier or fulfilment partner, please include clear photographs of the outer packaging, shipping label, internal packing materials, and the damaged item itself.

We review damage claims on a case-by-case basis and will work with you to find an appropriate resolution.

RETURNED-TO-SENDER PARCELS

Parcels may occasionally be returned to sender for reasons including an incomplete or undeliverable address, repeated failed delivery attempts, non-collection from a local depot, refusal of delivery, or customs-related issues.

If a parcel is returned to us and can be recovered, we will contact you to arrange either re-dispatch or another suitable resolution.

If additional postage is required for re-dispatch, we reserve the right to charge that postage where the return resulted from an issue outside our control, including an incorrect address provided by the customer or failure to pay import charges where applicable.

INCORRECT OR INCOMPLETE ADDRESSES

Please check your shipping details carefully before completing your order.

If you notice an error in your delivery address, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to amend it before dispatch, but we cannot guarantee that changes can be made once an order has been processed.

Where a parcel is lost, delayed, or returned because the customer provided an incorrect or incomplete address, we cannot guarantee a refund of the original shipping charge and may require payment of new shipping charges before re-dispatch.

DELIVERED PARCELS AND LOCAL CARRIER ISSUES

Once a parcel has been marked as delivered by the carrier, responsibility may pass to the recipient, subject to any rights available under applicable law.

If you believe a parcel has been misdelivered, please contact us promptly and we will do our best to assist, but the outcome may depend on the carrier’s records and the local delivery circumstances.

REPLACEMENT SHIPMENTS

Where we agree that a replacement should be sent, we may choose the fulfilment location, carrier, and service used for the replacement shipment.

Replacement shipments may be sent from a different warehouse or country than the original order.
